He was the widower of Lina Brickle Bracey and a son of the late Jacob H. and Sarah Garrison Bracey of Southampton. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. L.R. Pittman of Franklin; three sons, James Reuben Bracey, USCG; Benjamin Lee Bracey, USA, and William J. Bracey of Norfolk; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. L.A. Whitley of Franklin; five brothers, Edward T., David Leroy, Martin and James F. Bracey of Norfolk and James Robert Bracey of Dendron and several nieces and nephews. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of the Holland Funeral Home, with Dr. John G. Truitt in charge. Burial was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
