GEORGE E. BROCK 

   A funeral service for George E. Brock, 74, was to be held at 3 p.m. 
Saturday in Black Creek Baptist Church by the Revs. Willis H. Switzer and 
Larry Cribb.  Burial was to be in the church cemetery.

   Brock, of Route 2, Franklin, died Thursday in his home.

   He was a native of Southampton County and a member of Black Creek Baptist 
Church.  He was a retired farmer.

   Survivors include his wife, Stella Munford Brock, a daughter, Joan M. 
Caulder of Hopewell; two sisters, Mrs. John Glover of Franklin and Mrs. Vida 
English of Emporia; two brothers, Rossie H. Brock of Carrsville and Elbert 
Brock of Courtland; and a granddaughter.


George E. BROCK, retired farmer, 
Southampton Co. native, d. 7 Oct 1982, at home, near Franklin, age 74,
