BRIGGS, JR. NEWPORT NEWS, Nov. 14 - Mrs. Irma Conner Briggs, 36, of Newport News, wife of A. Earl Briggs, Jr., died Wednesday at a Newport News hospital. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Al E. Briggs III of Newport News, a daughter, Miss Jane Lee Briggs of Newport News; her mother, Mrs. Hattie Chappell Conner of Rich Square, N.C.; four sisters, Mrs. R.G. Hubbard, Mrs. W.M. Taylor and Mrs. Watts Traylor of Rich Square and Mrs. E.R. Stephenson of Enfield, N.C., and a brother, James A. Conner of Red Square. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Peninsula Funeral Home, with burial in the Peninsula Memorial Park. Harriett Irma (CONNER; Mrs. A.
