Bracy, wife of C.L. Bracy of our town, died at her home in Clay Street Sunday afternoon about one o’clock in her forty-first year. She was a native of Hertford County, N.C., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Preston Brickle of the Como community. She was married to Mr. Bracy 21 years ago and had lived in Franklin since that time. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, William J., Benjamin L. James Reuben and Julia Rebecca Bracy, by one brother, Reuben Brick, U.S.N., and by two sisters, Mrs. A.R. Lee of Winton and Mrs. Bessie Wall of Rosemary, N.C. Mrs. Bracy had been a professing Christian since the age of ten and was a loyal and consistent member of the Franklin Christian Church. She had been in poor health for three years and had been confined to her bed since last July. Although a great sufferer during her entire illness, her patience and fortitude were remarkable, exciting the admiration of the members of her family, her friends and neighbors. She was a good woman of many noble traits of character, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held from the Franklin Christian Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by Rev. F. C. Lester, pastor of the church. The church choir sang "Sometime We’ll Understand," "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown?" a favorite hymn of Mrs. Bracy’s, and "Abide with Me." Interment was made in the family plot in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the body bearers being: Claude J. Edwards, Walter H. Norfleet, Geo. H. Parker, L.A. Whitley, W.C. Watson, Geo. O. Watkins, E.P.
