MATTIE W. BRIGGS 

WILLIAMSBURG - Mattie Williams Briggs, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, in her home. 

She was a native of Southampton County and a member of Millfield Baptist 
Church, Southampton County.  She was also a member of Daughters of the 
American Revolution.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Wren Briggs of Williamsburg; and 
several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Williams family 
cemetery, Southampton County, by the Revs. John Lennon and Frank Crawford. 
The family will assemble at the residence in Southampton County by 10 a.m. 
Thursday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of 
contributions to American Heart Association, 627 - 79th Street, 
Newport News 23605, or Millfield Baptist Church, Ivor 23866.
