[...] Southampton county has lost one of its best citizens by the death of Mr. W. W. Briggs, who was for many years sheriff of the county. He was a brother-in-law of General Mahone. ROBIN ADAIR. License issued on the 10th day of February 1851 for the solemnification of marriage between Wm W. Briggs & Susanna Mahone of Southampton county. (Southampton Co.
