BRANCH* BURGESS Mrs. Virginia Burgess, 97, widow of Mack Burgess, died at the home of her son, M.A. Burgess of Courtland, on Monday night, September 13, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Pinchart Burgess and Fannie Joyner Branch* of Southampton County, and one of the oldest members of the Vincent Grove Methodist Church. Besides her son she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. F.L. Hasty of Franklin; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
