VIRGINIA A. COX BURGESS

   Mrs. Virginia A. Burgess, 68, widow of the late G.W. Burgess, died Thursday 
morning at her residence in Capron after an illness of eight months.

   Mrs. Burgess is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. M.A. Pierce, Capron; Mrs. 
P.B. Edwards, Joyner; Mrs. H.O. Marks, Norfolk; Mrs. P.D. Barham, Capron; Misses 
Bessie, Hope and Frances Burgess, Capron; two sons Reuben Burgess, Capron and 
Will Burgess, Pittsfield, Mass; one brother, Jacob P. Cox, Boykins, and 13 
grandchildren.

   Funeral services were conducted at 3 o’clock this (Friday) afternoon at the 
home by the Rev. Clifford Ramsey, assisted by the Rev. R.H. Marks of Union Level.

   "M.J."

Widowed, she 2m. 25 Mar 1870 Virginia's father Benjamin Franklin COX.
