Bristow, aged 2 years, 3 months and 22 days. Little Grover, as he was familiarly called had been a great sufferer the most of his life. He was a victim of la grippe in January 1890, when his little sister fell a victim to death by that much dreaded malady. After he recovered from that attack his system was so weakened that it was only a seat of other diseases, which made his life almost a burden. Alas that a time almost unexpected the message came and his little spirit was wafted to the realms of bliss beyond the skies. While we weep in this our bereavement, we know it is sent my Him who is too wise to err and has said, "suffer little children to come unto Me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of God." Parents Grover Fitzhugh BRISTOW, son of James Clark & Martha Alice (LEWIS) BRISTOW, d. 7 Oct 1891, near Linwood, age 2, interred in the BRISTOW family cemetery*, Unity & Appleton Rds. donated obit, newspaper unknown *Grover was predeceased by sis Withe C. (1887-1890), but his parents later had other children. Grover, two sisters, and their parents are buried in the family plot.
