RUBY BABB BIRKETT

Mrs. Ruby Babb Birkett, age 69, died March 23, 1981.  She is survived 
by her husband, Jack A. Birkett of Emporia; one son, Gordon M. Birkett of 
Tappahannock; three sisters, Miss Mary Babb of Capron, Mrs. Alma Norris of 
Fayetteville, N.C., Mrs. Nancy Sewell of Norfolk; two brothers, Cecil Babb 
of Waverly and George Babb of Courtland.  Remains rest at Echols Funeral 
Home, Emporia, where funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M. Thursday 
with cremation to follow.  Family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials 
be made to your favorite rescue squad.  Family will receive friends Wednesday 
from 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
