Davis, a native of Southampton County and a resident of Norfolk for 15 years, died at a hospital in that city August 31, 1945. She is survived by four sisters, Miss Gypsy Davis of Suffolk, Mrs. Walter P. Johnson of Ivor; Miss Maude C. Davis of Norfolk and Mrs. Jesse F. McClenny and Watkins Johnson, and one niece, Ann McClenny. Funeral services were held from the home of her sister, Mrs. Jesse McClenny, Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. by Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin, assisted by Rev. T.N. Tombes of the Ivor Baptist Church, with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
