All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ AUGUSTA OSBOURNE RAYMOND BRETT FRANKLIN - Mrs. Augusta Raymond Brett, 55, died early Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of western North Carolina, she was the wife of Dennis L. Brett and a daughter of Mrs. Myra Osborne Raymond of Danville and the late Rev. Frank B. Raymond. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, formerly sang in the senior choir, and was a former Sunday School teacher and member of Women’s Missionary Society. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina. Besides her husband and mother, surviving are two daughters, Miss Rachel Augusta Brett of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Miss Mary Elizabeth Brett of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro; and a brother, Frank B. Raymond of Danville. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial will be Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be J. Vaughan Beale, J.F. Briggs, T.C. Holland, Jr., E.F. Gilliam, Hubert Edwards, Robert C. Ray, J.P. Lankford, Jr., Walter A. Brett, R.H.
