GEORGE HENRY BARRETT 

PORTSMOUTH DEATHS 

  George Henry Barrett, 83 years old, died last night at 9:50 o'clock in his 
residence, 813 Commerce Street, after a long illness.  He is survived by the 
following daughters, Miss Clara Barrett and Mrs. C.W. Newton, of this city, 
and Mrs. Thomas Parker, of Branchville, Va.; two sons, P.J. and B.I. Barrett 
of this city.  Arrangements for the funeral service will be announced tomorrow 
morning.

  Funeral services for George Henry Barrett, who died in his residence at 813 
Commerce Street Thursday night, will be conducted in the Sycamore Baptist 
Church of Southampton County, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.  The funeral 
party will leave the local residence at 1 o'clock.  Burial will be in 
Southampton County.
