HAROLD OBIE BARRETT

   Funeral services for Harold Obie Barrett, 36, who died early Friday morning, 
June 22, in Raiford Memorial Hospital following a heart attack, were conducted 
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Black Creek Baptist Church with Rev. L. B. 
Allen, Jr., pastor officiating. 

   Mr. Barrett, a farmer and life-long resident of the Zuni community was the 
husband of Mrs. Delia Fowler Barrett and the son of Ruben Pittman and Gracie 
Mae Johnson Barrett of the Black Creek community. He was a member of Black 
Creek Baptist Church. 

   Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Carolyn 
Elizabeth Barrett; two sons, David Stephens and Tommy Harold Barrett; two 
brothers Boyd B. Barrett of Franklin and Haywood Owen Barrett of Zuni, and a 
number of nieces and nephews. 

   Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.  The active pallbearers were 
P.J. Blythe, Ocie Lowe, Robert Lewis, Garland Beale and Lebron Johnson.
