IDA HENRIETTA BRITT

   Miss Ida Henrietta Britt, 72, for many years a resident of Franklin, died 
Friday afternoon, August 12, at the home of her niece, Mrs. R.L. Whitfield, 
in Norfolk.

   Miss Britt was the daughter of the late John D. and Agnes Pond Britt of 
Hertford County, N.C.  She was a member of High Street Methodist Church.

   She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and by a sister-in-law, 
Mrs. J.P. Britt of Ahoskie, N.C.

   Services for Miss Britt were conducted at the funeral home of W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons at four o’clock Sunday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. E.N. 
Hassell.  Interment was a Poplar Spring Cemetery.
