Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. William L. Cribb and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Burial was in Black Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.B. Beale, Robert Lowe, Thornton Billups, Theo E. Beale, Roger L. Butler, Herman C. Butler, Johnnie R. Saunders and Dickie Lee. Mrs. Barrett died Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in her home. A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of William E. and Mrs. Mary Goodrich Drewry and the wife of Benjamin Boyd Barrett. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elaine B. Butler of Carrsville; two brothers, William E. Drewry Jr. of Portsmouth and Donald Wayne Drewry of Franklin; and three grandchildren; Kathy Butler, Beth Butler and Carla Butler all of Carrsville. Ida (DREWRY; Mrs. Benjamin B.)
