NANNIE BELL BRITT

   ZUNI - A funeral service for Mrs. Nannie Bell Britt, 84, was held Saturday 
at 3 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. J. Waverly Horne. 
Burial was in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Earl Cobb, James Robert Cobb, Alpha Cobb, McCoy Fowler, 
Bobby Fowler, Wayne Fowler, Harold Britt and Bobby Worrell.

   Mrs. Britt died Thursday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a retired employee of Columbia 
Peanut Company in Zuni and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

   She taught the Beginners Sunday School class of 25 years and was a member 
of Women’s Missionary Society and former treasurer of the Ladies Aide Society.

   She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Nora B. Council of Zuni, Mrs. Ella 
Cobb of Windsor, and Mrs. Helen B. Fowler of Franklin; and many nieces and 
nephews.
