ROGER PRYOR BRITT

   ZUNI - Funeral services for Roger Pryor Britt, 73, were held Saturday in 
Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. J. Waverly Horne.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery.  Purviance Funeral Home had charge.

   Pallbearers were deacons of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

   The husband of Mrs. Ruby Fowler Britt, died Wednesday in Southampton 
Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a retired farmer.  He had been a 
deacon for 57 years of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and a choir member.

   Other survivors include a son, Harold Britt of Waverly; four sisters, 
Nannie Bells Britt, and Mrs. Nora B. Council of Zuni, Mrs. B. Forrest Cobb of 
Windsor, and Mrs. Burley R. Fowler of Franklin; and a grandson.
