BARRETT NORFOLK -- Mrs. Susie Barrett Barrett, 71, of 1174 Kempsville Road, a retired Princess Anne County and Virginia Beach schoolteacher, died Friday in a hospital. A native of Southampton County, she lived here 45 years. She was the widow of Thomas E. Barrett and a daughter of Lucilious [sic; Lucilius] and Mrs. Nannie Story Barrett. She was a Methodist and former member of Virginia Education Association and a life member of Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers. Surviving are a son, Thomas Eugene Barrett of Norfolk and a sister, Mrs. J.A. Brown of Suffolk. A funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
