WALTER HERMAN BRITT, JR.

   BOYKINS - Funeral services for Walter Herman (Piggy) Britt Jr., 73, were 
held Tuesday in Beechwood cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. Blaine Blubaugh. 
McDowell Funeral Home had charge.

   Britt died Monday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

   He was a native of Southampton County and the husband of Jessie B. Britt. 
He was retired farmer and a member of Boykins United Methodist Church, Boykins 
Hunt Club, and a former chairman of the Southampton County agriculture 
stabilization and conservation commission.

   Other survivors include a son, Walter H. Britt III of Suffolk; a sister, 
Mary B. Carlton of Boykins; and three granddaughters.
