Britt died in his home Saturday night. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of N.B.* and Mrs. Victoria Horne Britt. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Bailey Britt; four sons, Gurnie D. Britt, Narvie F. Britt and Dempsie R. Britt of Ivor and Walter Junius Britt of Courtland; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Atkinson, Mrs. Fenton Goodrich and Mrs. Ernest Turner of Ivor; and 12 grandchildren. A funeral service was held Monday at 4 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial was in Ivor Cemetery. Pallbearers were John T. Faircloth Jr., Ernest Pittman, Thomas Pulley, Robert Pulley, N.C. Boykins, Robert Rawls, Dr. Kress and George Carr. Walter G.
