AMORETTE F. BRADSHAW Mrs. Amorette Ferguson Bradshaw, 81, widow of George Washington Bradshaw, died at the residence in the Newsoms community on Saturday night, August 11, following an illness of several months. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Victoria Bryant Ferguson of this county, and was one of the oldest members of the Newsoms Baptist Church, in which she served faithfully for many years. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Herman Smith of Capron; two sons Herman M. Bradshaw of Portsmouth and Roy C. Bradshaw of Newsoms; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Bradshaw and Mrs. H.T. Miles, both of Newsoms, and Mrs. H.E. Edwards of Petersburg; and two brothers, C.Q. and S.C. Ferguson of Newsoms. Funeral services were held at the grave in Newsoms Cemetery on Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with her pastor, Rev. R.L. Chadwick, and Rev. E. Rives Ferguson of Madison officiating. Active pallbearers were Garland Blanchard, Aaron Bradshaw, Carl Bradshaw, Quinton Ferguson, Russell Ferguson, Dr. J.J. Grizzard, Andrew Jenkins and Jack Watkins. Amorette Victoria (FERGUSON; Mrs. George W.)
