All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ AMBRA CRUMPLER BRIDGES Mrs. Ambra Crumpler Bridges, aged 23, wife of Hubert Bridges and daughter of P.D. and Alene McLaughlin Crumpler, of Southampton County, died at Raiford Hospital Monday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock after a brief illness. She was a member of the Sunbeam Baptist Church, joining the congregation in early childhood and remaining a steadfast supporter throughout her life. She is survived by her husband and infant son; her parents; one brother, P.D. Crumpler, Jr. and one sister, Mrs. Ray Porter, all of Handsom. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock from the Holland Funeral Chapel by the Rev. C.P. Cleveland of Newsoms Baptist Church. Burial followed in the family cemetery at Sycamore Baptist Church, near Franklin. Pallbearers were Fred D. Magness, J.F. Cook, Louis Gillette, Jack Story, Marvin Porter, Dr. T.A. Morgan, W.N. Rose and Hugh Gibson.
