All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ GEORGE DAVIS BRADSHAW George Davis Bradshaw, 44, husband of Mrs. Clio Miles Bradshaw, died at the home of his father-in-law, R.D. Miles, of Newsoms Tuesday morning after an illness of many months. Mr. Bradshaw was the son of the late Zollie T., and Alice Drake Bradshaw of Southampton County. He was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World Lodge of Newsoms. Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Berse Bradshaw of Newsoms and Joe Bradshaw of Petersburg; four sisters, Mrs. William Ellis of Courtland, Mrs. Clara Bradshaw of Newsoms, Mrs. Gordon Grizzard of Drewryville, and Mrs. Leroy Bryant of Courtland. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Miles residence, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. C.P. Cleveland, assisted by the Rev. L.G. Tinnell. Burial took place in Newsoms Cemetery, pallbearers being Jack Bunn, C.O. Rucker, A.R. Fowler, James O’berry, J.L. Drake, H.K. Miles, R.L. Porter, E.J. Coggsdale and J.T.
