All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ HUBERT BRIDGES Hubert Bridges, 40, died unexpectedly at Raiford Memorial Hospital on Friday evening, July 24, of a heart attack suffered earlier in the day. A member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church, Mr. Bridges had been an electric welder with Camp Manufacturing Company for the past 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Cabell Bridges; two sons, Hubert Bridges, Jr., and Warren Cabell Bridges; a daughter, Mary Hu Bridges; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bridges; and a brother, Gordon Bridges; all of Franklin. Funeral services for Mr. Bridges were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock by his pastor, Rev. T.T. Trynham, and Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bernard Blythe, J.J. Bradshaw, Jr., John L. Brenner, W.C. Coker, Louis Gillette, Sam Jones, James H. Kee and Hunter Scott.
