BRADSHAW BURIED TODAY John Claudius Bradshaw, 75, retired Franklin building contractor, died in his home Saturday morning. He was the husband of Mrs. Ruth S. Joyner Bradshaw. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of James and Mrs. Geneva Babb Bradshaw. He was a member of Bethel Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends and was an elder of the Friends Meeting. After school in Southampton County, he attended Guilford (N.C.) College. He contracted and built many of the finer homes in the Franklin and Southampton County area. One of his prized buildings was Holland Funeral Home. Besides his widow, surviving are one son, John C. Bradshaw, Jr. of Norfolk; and one daughter, Mrs. Richard E. Railey, of Courtland; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Charles T. Lupton, Sr. of Denver, Colo., and Miss Lizzie Bradshaw of Norfolk. A funeral service was held today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harry Wellons, ministers of Friends, and the Rev. C.W. Gibson, Jr., pastor of Courtland Methodist Church. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that those desiring contribute to Raiford Memorial Hospital. Pallbearers were Dr. T.A. Morgan, T.J. Blythe, Jr., Lee M. White, Roy C. Edwards, R.E.L. Wheless and J.R. Howerton.
