Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin by the Rev. Joseph L. McTeer, pastor of Colosse Baptist Church. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Thomas Bradshaw, Bill Bradshaw, G.E. Pillow, Kenneth Howell, Dr. C.C. Crossland, Jimmy Daughtrey and Palmer Spivey. Bradshaw, 84, former chairman of Isle of Wight County Democratic Committee and member of the Tax Equalization Board, died Friday evening in his home. He was a retired lumberman, farmer and insurance agent and a well-known Mason, having been a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge 151 more than 50 years. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Joel and Mrs. Minnie Garris Bradshaw and the husband of Mrs. Mamie Duck Bradshaw. He was an alumnus of the University of Richmond and a well-known football player during his college days. He was one of the founders of Carrsville High School, a member of Carrsville Ruritan Club and a former president of Isle of Wight Literary and Agricultural Committee.
