All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LILLIE MAE BRADSHAW Miss Lillie Mae Bradshaw, 31, well-known resident of the Sedley community, died Monday, February 21, at 5:30 p.m. at her home after an illness of several years. She was a daughter of Robert Lee and Mrs. Myra Pond Bradshaw of Southampton County. Besides her parents she is survived by four brothers, George Bradshaw of Windsor, Reginald and August Bradshaw of Franklin and Clinton Bradshaw of Norfolk; seven sisters, Mrs. Virgie Wade of Zuni, Mrs. Martha Bradshaw and Mrs. Mary Duck of Franklin, Mrs. Viola Raiford of Franklin, Misses Doris and Catherine Bradshaw of Franklin and Mrs. Gladys Gray of Sedley, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral services were conducted at the residence Wednesday afternoon, February 23, by the Rev. W.B. Watson, pastor of the Black Creek Baptist Church. The pallbearers were: J.B. Lowe, Charlie Bulls, Charlie Holland, Bearing [sic; Beaury] Raiford, James Hedgepeth, Junius Wade and Howard Bradshaw. Lillie Mae BRADSHAW, d. 21 Feb 1944, at home, Sedley, age 31, interred in the POND family cemetery*, Harris Road (Rt. 637), 23 Feb 1944, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Feb. 25, 1944 *Located on the August Bradshaw farm; her parents are also buried there.
