ROSE BRADSHAW Mrs. Lena Rose Bradshaw, 62, well-known resident of the Carrsville community, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday night, October 15, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Carr H. Rose and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Joyner Rose of Southampton County. Surviving her are her husband, Joe Henry Bradshaw, of Carrsville; two daughters, Miss Hilda Bradshaw of Carrsville and Mrs. S.S. Pierce of Norfolk; two sons, Gavin Bradshaw of Norfolk and Joe C. Bradshaw of Carrsville; a granddaughter, Mary Rose Pierce, of Norfolk; three sister, Mrs. G.C. Chappell, Miss Elsie Rose and Miss Ina Rose, all of Norfolk; a brother, Ross W. Rose, also of Norfolk; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Black Creek Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Bradshaw was a member, with Rev. Jack Boyles officiating, assisted by the pastor, Rev. W.B. Watson. Burial was in the church cemetery. Lena B. (ROSE; Mrs. Joseph H.)
