Bradshaw died at her home near Black Creek Saturday night, April 7, in the 64th year of her age, following an illness of only a few hours. She was before her marriage, Miss Mattie Jane Beaton, daughter of the late Charles and Tabitha Beaton. On January 19, 1888, she was united in marriage to Joel D. Bradshaw, who preceded her to the grave about five years ago. She leaves to mourn their loss one son, E.A. Bradshaw; one daughter, Mrs. E.E. Mumford of Dory; five grandchildren and one sister, Miss Bettie Beaton, besides a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Bradshaw was a woman of many fine qualities, a consistent Christian, a devoted mother and good neighbor and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Sedley Friends Church and services were conducted from her late home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock by her Pastor Rev. Nathan Pickett, in the presence of a large number of friends. The body bearers were Linwood, Junius and John Bradshaw, J.J. Camp, Hunter Beaton, R.H. Joyner, Marion Harrell, Lee Harrison, Leland Beale and Crawley Edwards.
