Bradshaw, son of the late A.G. Bradshaw and Mrs. Mary Alice Wills Bradshaw, died at the King’s Daughters Hospital, Portsmouth, March 22. He left his home near Sedley on a business trip for the day but was stricken ill upon his arrival in Portsmouth and lived only a few hours, dying soon after his family reached his bedside at midnight. Mr. Bradshaw was a meat packer and farmer and had resided in this community all of his life except for a few years in Portsmouth. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bessie Whitfield Bradshaw; three children; A.G. Jr., Alice and Edwin; one brother, A.M. Bradshaw, one half-brother, C.E. Bradshaw, three sisters, Mrs. W.L. Vick, Mrs. O.J. High and Mrs. W.D. Joyner. Funeral services were held at the graveside in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by his Pastor, Rev. E.G. McGeehee of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Mrs. H.L. Bradshaw, Mrs. H.D. Bottner and Mrs. W.S. Urquhart sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sometime We’ll Understand." The pallbearers were R.L. Johnson, J.D. Owen, S.R. Wade, C.W. Davis, T.F. Hundley and Ocie Daughtrey.
