All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT LEE BRADSHAW DIED RECENTLY Robert Lee Bradshaw, a well known farmer of the Black Creek community, passed away April 25, after an illness of several months. Mr. Bradshaw was a native of Southampton County and son of the late Murdock and Martha Raiford Bradshaw of Southampton County. He was born July 14, 1879. On January 28, 1903, he was joined in holy matrimony to Myra Pond of Southampton County by the Rev. G.C. Smith, former pastor of Black Creek Baptist Church. Early in life he was a member of Millfield Baptist Church then moving his membership to Black Creek Baptist Church he served as deacon and was active in the Men's Bible Class until his health prevented it. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, George M. Bradshaw of Sedley, Clinton A. Bradshaw of Norfolk, Reginald R. Bradshaw and August S. Bradshaw, both of Franklin; seven daughters, Mrs. Virgie Wade, Mrs. Martha Bradshaw, Mrs. Mary Duck, Mrs. Doris Turner, all of Franklin; Mrs. Gladys Gay and Mrs. Catherine Lowe, both of Ivor, and Mrs. Viola Clark of Zuni; 31 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
