Davis farm. Mr. Bradshaw was employed by E.A. Davis, Southampton County Agent, as an overseer on his farm, having made his home on Indian Town Road for the past three years. Ernest Dupree, 51, who was working with Mr. Bradshaw at the time, received second degree burns and was admitted to the Raiford Memorial Hospital, where he still is under doctor's care. Mr. Davis, who was supervising the operation, was knocked down to the ground, and was blacked out for several minutes. He suffered no other injuries. The accident occurred while Mr. Bradshaw and Dupree were removing the long pipe from the hole. Dupree was holding the lower end of the pipe and Mr. Bradshaw was guiding it, when it came in contact with the high voltage wires. Mr. Bradshaw acted as the ground, with only part of the electricity hitting Dupree and Mr. Davis. The Franklin Rescue Squad and their equipment were called to the scene of the accident. Dr. E.F. Reese, III, attended. Mr. Bradshaw was the husband of Mrs. Daphine Winstead Bradshaw of Courtland and the son of Mrs. Gertrude Peele Bradshaw of Holland and the late Walter Linwood Bradshaw of Southampton County.
