He was a native of Paris, France, and a son of Robert B. Brothers Jr. of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Barbara Ellen Pullman of Virginia Beach. He worked in homes construction industry. He was an Episcopalian and formerly served in the Air Force. Other survivors include two sisters, Katherine Ann Brothers of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Richard Paulus of Carroll, Ohio; three brothers, Robert B. Brothers, III of Virginian Beach, 1st Lt. David Carder of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Thomas Joseph Brothers of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.J. Pullman of Carmle Valley, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. D.P. Carder of Carmel Valley. A funeral will be held Thursday, July 10, at 2 p.m. in Ivor Cemetery by the Rev. James Tongue. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, has charge.
