Richard H.L. Vanaman, rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. The pallbearers were Franklin Edwards, Edgar Jackson, Harvey L. Lindsay of Norfolk, J. Fenton Matthews, Linwood B. Norfleet, John C. Parker, H. Wayland Stephenson and Dr. Beaman Story. Mr. Barney, former vice president, treasurer and director of Tiffany & Co., New York jewelers, died at the residence, 430 E. 57th St., New York City, on Tuesday afternoon, November 8, at 5:15 o’clock. A native of Providence, R.I., he had been connected with Tiffany’s since 1906, retiring only last spring. He had suffered a stroke shortly before his death. Surviving is his wife, the former Miss Elizabeth Darden, niece of George O. Watkins and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Darden J. Watkins of Franklin. As a girl Mrs. Barney was a frequent visitor of her grandmother on N. High Street, Franklin. The remains were accompanied to Franklin by Mrs. Barney and her brother, Lawrence* E. Darden of New York City. Arthur L.
