High St., was held Monday at 3 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Smith of Franklin United Church of Christ. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodger I. Beale, J. Vaughan Beale, Nat R. Williams, Fennon Turner, J. Irving Beale III, Joseph H. Stutts, George Warren Conwell and Frank Marit. A native of Nansemond County and former resident of Richmond, she was the wife of Delbert Franklin Brown and a daughter of Jonas E. and Mrs. Irene Beale Lawrence. She was a member of Franklin United Church of Christ. Besides her husband she is survived by a sister, Miss Helen I. Lawrence of Franklin; a niece, Mrs. Marian Sellers of Mandeville, La.; a nephew, Henry B. Lawrence Jr. of San Francisco, Calif. Catherine (LAWRENCE; Mrs. Delbert F.)
