ELIZABETH DARDEN BARNEY

   Franklin - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Darden Barney were held 
Monday in St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Franklin, with burial in Poplar Spring 
Cemetery, Father Norman Murphy officiating.

   The only daughter of Elizabeth Watkins and Laurence Eley Darden and the 
widow of Arthur Leroy* Barney of New York City she died Wednesday, March 19 
in her New York home after a long illness.

   Mrs. Barney’s closest relative was the former George Watkins of Franklin. 
She is survived by several cousins living in South Carolina.
