MARY ESTHER BERNHARDT BARRON

   A funeral service for Mrs. Esther B. Barron, was conducted Monday at 11 
a.m. in the Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. St. Elmo Nauman. 
Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral 
Home in charge.

   Pallbearers were Robert M. Osborn, J.B. Johnson, Waring Smith, Sharon 
Miller, William Ludt and Harvey Lankford, Jr.

   Mrs. Barron, 72, died Friday afternoon in a hospital.  Born in 
Harrisburg, Pa. she was a daughter of Harry and Mrs. Bertha Baxtresser 
Bernhardt and the wife of Navarre Thomas Barron.  She was a member of 
Congregational Christian Church.

   Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Miriam B. 
Kurbjun of Roanoke; three sons, Navarre T. Barron Jr. of Greenbelt, Md., 
George G. Barron of Westfield, N.J., and Walter W. Barron of Gunniston, 
Col.; a brother, Paul Bernhardt of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and seven 
grandchildren.
