Rites Held Today For Michael Brown 

  Funeral services for Michael Layne Brown, age six months, who died yesterday 
at the home of his parents, Earl and Frances Johnson Brown, of Suffolk RFD 4, 
were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Hill Funeral Home. 

  Surviving are a sister, Sharon Joy Brown, and a brother, Ronald Wayne Brown; 
his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.L. Johnson, of Suffolk, and his 
paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lily C. Brown, of Franklin.

Michael Layne Brown Buried in Southampton 

  Funeral services for Michael Layne Brown, who died Monday at his home in the 
county, were held at 1:30 p.m. yesterday at the Hill Funeral Home.  Elder 
Floyd Anderson, Elder Jack Hoff, Elder Norman Lloyd and Elder Doyle Argyle 
officiated. 

  The pall was of pink roses, white pom-poms and blue iris.  Eldrom 
Wintertort, accompanied by Mrs. Webb Pinner, sang, "God of Our Fathers Known 
of Old," and "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth."  Burial was in the Sycamore 
Baptist Church Cemetery in Southampton.
