A native of Capron, he lived here 20 years. He was a son of Percy and Mrs. Ida Dameron Barham and the husband of the late Mrs. Virginia Burgess Barham. He was a ticket agent for Greyhound Bus Lines in Portsmouth and a member of Flint Hill Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James B. Grimmer of Flint Hill, and a granddaughter. The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home where a funeral service was held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. by the Rev. L.C. Vaughan Sr. of Crozet Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were: R.W. Bush, R.D. Prince, Colburn Owens, David Kidd, William M. Grimmer, Robert J. Dunn, Reid Wren, Jessie Miles.
