Kitchen after a short illness with pneumonia. She was the daughter of Mrs. Betty Joyner Branch and the late William Branch, of Southampton County. Miss Branch and her mother have made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Kitchen for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Vincent Grove M.E. Church, near Capron. She is survived by her mother, one brother, Robert F. Branch of Franklin community, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were conducted from the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland and sons Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. B.B. Bland, assisted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson. The songs "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "The Old, Rugged Cross" were sung. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Warren Kitchen, V.C. Lankford, W.M. Branch, Henry Comstock, Wesley Rose and N.P. Joyner.
