FANNIE ALICE RAIFORD BRANCHE

   IVOR - Funeral services for Fannie Raiford Branche, 99, were held Sunday 
in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Revs. Gerald A. Pike and Hershel M. 
Hill.  Burial was in Ivor cemetery.

   Branch died Friday in her home.

   She was a native of Southampton County and the widow of Patrick Henry 
Branche.  She was a life member of Corinth Friends Church and member of the 
church ladies aid society.  She also held life membership in the United 
Society of Friends Women.

   Survivors include four daughters, Miss Sadie Branche and Miss Julia Branche 
of the home, Mrs. Mary B. Sherard of Suffolk, and Mrs. Ruth B. Duncan of 
Smithfield; two sons, Junius Branche of the home and Paul Branche of Ivor; 
three sisters, Mrs. Viola Thompson of West Point, Mrs. Eula West of Zuni, 
and Mrs. Maude Scott of Franklin; a brother, Fred Raiford of Ivor; 18 
grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
