H. Mitchell. Burial was in Barnes Family Cemetery. He died Friday in a Richmond hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Julia Barnes. He was an employee of Murphy’s Department Store and a member of Millneck Baptist Church. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Edith Rolax of Union, N.J. and Mrs. Addie Barrett of Franklin; a brother, Luther Barnes Jr. of Box Hall, N.J.; three stepsons, Edward DeLoatch Jr., Ronald E. DeLoatch of Murfreesboro, N.C. and James DeLoatch of Washington, D.C.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
