ROBERT CLINTON BRANCH

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Robert Clinton Branch was conducted 
Saturday at 4 p.m. in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. 
The body was taken to the church at 3:30 p.m.

   Burial was in Poplar Spring cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral 
Home in charge.

   Pallbearers were Elmo Eason, L.E. Edwards, William Branch, William 
Bradshaw, D.A. Gooden and Paul Councill.

   Honorary pallbearers were members of Camp P.D. Hunt Club.

   Branch, 80, retired merchant and farmer, died Friday at 4:20 p.m. in a 
hospital.

   He was the husband of the late Mrs. Virgie Carr Branch and the son of 
Alexander and Mrs. Susan Bradshaw Branch.

   He was a native of Southampton County and a member of Franklin Baptist 
Church, Bruner Bible Class, and Camp P.D. Hunt Club.

   Surviving are two sons, Robert Clinton Branch Jr. of Rocky Mount and Dr. 
L.A. Branch of Franklin, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
