VIRGINIA MADRON BRANCH

   Franklin - Funeral services for Virginia Madron Branch were held Thursday in 
Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. Ira D. Hudgins and Dr. R.E. Brittle.

   Branch died Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   She was native of Nebraska and the wife of Dr. L.A. Branch. She was a member 
of Franklin Baptist Church and a leader in the 4-H Club. She also was a member 
of the Horse and Pony Club and was instrumental in originating the 4-H Pony Club 
Shows at the Agri-Center in Franklin.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David Birdsall of Gloucester 
Courthouse; a sister, Mrs. Janice Crawford of Franklin; and two grandchildren.
