AULIE JAMES BRYANT

   COMO, N.C. - Aulie James Bryant, 85, died Monday at 7:05 a.m. after a long 
illness.

   He was a retired farmer and a native of Hertford County.  He was the son of 
James N. and Mrs. Susan Whitley Bryant.  He was a member of New Hope Methodist 
Church.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Thorpe Bryant.

   A funeral service was held at the grave today at 11 a.m. by the Rev. H. 
Warren Landis of New Hope Methodist Church.
