Mrs. Bryant was born in Southampton County, the daughter of the late Sheriff J.L. Gillette. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Bryant; four daughters, Mrs. R.N. Nicholson of Capron, Mrs. H.E. Savage of Suffolk, Mrs. R.H. Bradshaw of Sedley and Mrs. J.C. Williams of Capron; two sons, Gillette Bryant of Courtland and Wallace Bryant of Suffolk; three sisters, Miss Lucille Gillette, Mrs. Ben Davis and Mrs. E.W. Davis of Courtland; two brothers, D.C. Gillette and T.A. Gillette of Franklin. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 from the residence of her son, Gillette Bryant in Courtland with Rev. H.F. Turner officiating, assisted by Dr. I.W. Johnson of Suffolk and Rev. Roscoe Jones of Franklin. Special music was furnished by the choir and Dr. I.W. Johnson. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, the active pallbearers being Davis Magette, Garland Davis, Lewis Davis, Lewis Gillette, Fenton Gillette, Herbert Yates and Leroy Magette.
