ERNEST WALTER BRYANT

   Ernest Walter Bryant, 33, died Thursday* morning at his home on Fontaine 
Avenue after a week’s illness of pneumonia.

   He was the son of the late James Lewis Bryant and Mrs. Lucy Anne Bryant. 
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Sadie Coggsdale Bryant, a daughter, Rose 
Bryant, and two sons, Ernest Walter, Jr. and James Bryant, all of Franklin; 
six brothers, James L. Bryant of Norfolk; Charles Lee Bryant of Portsmouth; 
Henry C., Alexander and Simon Luther Bryant of Courtland, and Horace E. Bryant 
of Bristol, and four sisters, Mrs. R.L. Laine and Mrs. J.H. Bryant of 
Courtland, and Mrs. W.J. Price and Mrs. E.A. of Portsmouth.

   Funeral services were held at the residence on Fontaine Avenue Thursday 
afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, assisted by Rev. 
R.H. Marks. Burial was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
