C. Allen Lawrence. Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery with McDowell Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were George Cook, W.T. O’berry, J.R. Holloman, Ralph Porter, G.T. Miles, S.C. Vick, Marshall Vick and Peter Vick. Mrs. Bryant, 87, died Monday at 10 a.m. in the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.C. Bunn, Sr. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of James David Bryant and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James R. Kitchen. She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church. Besides Mrs. Bunn, surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Eva Bradshaw of Portsmouth, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Hattie Mae (KITCHEN; Mrs. James D.)
