JENNIE SUE DRAKE BRYANT 

   Mrs. Jennie Drake Bryant, age 83, of 307 Norfleet St. died Sunday at 5:30 
p.m. in a Hopewell hospital, after a long illness.  A native of Southampton 
County and a life time resident of Franklin.  She was the widow of Lloyd Lee 
Bryant and a daughter of Emmett Franklin and Mrs. Maude Crumpler Drake.  She 
was a member of the Sunbeam Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter 
in law, Franklin Lee and Mary Y. Bryant, both of Colonial Heights; one sister, 
Mrs. L.T. Alexander, of Sandston and two grandchildren, Franklin L. Bryant Jr. 
and Lloyd Banks Bryant.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. 
in the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Carl Lee 
Ousley.  Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.  The family will be in the 
funeral home tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

JENNIE SUE DRAKE BRYANT

   A funeral service for Mrs. Jennie Drake Bryant, 83, of 307 Norfleet St., 
Franklin, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Carl Lee Ousley.

   Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Walter F. Drake, John W. Bryant, Benjamin Bryant, Tunstall 
Alexander, Edwin Alexander, Linwood Alexander and Kemper Daughtrey.

   A native of Southampton County and a lifetime resident of the area, she was 
the widow of Lloyd Lee Bryant and a daughter of Emmett Franklin and Mrs. Maude 
Crumpler Drake.

   She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church.

   Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin Lee and Mary Y. Bryant of 
Colonial Heights; one sister, Mrs. L.T. Alexander of Sandston, and two 
grandchildren, Franklin L. Bryant, Jr., and Lloyd Banks Bryant.
